Meet Our Education Experts
Megan
International student advisor with over 15 years of experience helping students succeed in the U.S. and abroad.
Megan is originally from Council Bluffs, Iowa, and currently resides in Mesa, Arizona.
She has been dedicated to the field of education since 2006. She spent over eight years teaching English in Beijing, China, where she worked closely with local English teachers and gained a deep understanding of the Chinese education system, including experience at renowned schools such as China Renmin University Affiliated High School and Beijing No. 80 High School. After returning to the United States, Megan focused on supporting the international community through English instruction and helping students excel in language assessments. She also served as Manager of International Student Retention at a large U.S. university.
Megan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Studies, a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and a Master of Science in Program Evaluation and Data Analytics.
Ya
Bilingual education specialist with extensive experience helping Chinese students transition academically and culturally in the U.S.
Ya is originally from Chengdu, China, and currently resides in Chandler, Arizona.
She brings over a decade of expertise in supporting international students. She worked for six years at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China as an academic advisor, international student services coordinator, and study abroad program coordinator. After moving to the United States, Ya continued her career in higher education as an Academic Advisor and later as Manager of International Engineering Student Experience at a large U.S. university.
Ya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Management, a Master’s degree in Law, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis.
